Director's Comment:
I think too much emphasis on details in making a film will make a great film look pale. Such details shall be left in writing a script. I have to re-edit the film again and put more emphasis to scenes that matter ..... particularly to the classic cocking and clicking of guns and shot guns by the Bloodsisters not to mention the final showdown between Rachel and Sean in the end which made the characters of the Bloodsisters wild, violent and deadly. So here's the Director's Cut Version, hope you like it.

To know more, you are welcome to join the documentary group, click: http://www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=102991603072897 Director Rorne's Comment: I was filming the whole of Hoan Kiem Lake at Hanoi one day and found a couple posing for their wedding photos. Every tourists took the opportunity to take pictures of them also. The couple passionate gestures reminded me of a story I used to know about an American soldier called Pete who married a Vietnamese girl called Sao and it was that instance I formed an idea of a story to fit into my documentary films. Later when I travelled to Tam Coc and dropped by a little temple, I met a Vietnamese girl sitting at the main entrance of the temple. She seemed to be the care-taker of the place and when I asked her what she does, she said she works there part time to take care of the temple and to show the tourists around the temple if requested. What amazed me more was when she said her name was "Sao". It became clear to me that maybe this is not just a co-incident but rather a sign that I need to do this story for Pete and Sao and also for Vietnam. So there you have it, Vietnam (Part 1). It’s been a great life 2010. For once I am trying out a marathon writing of 5 scripts at the same time. Clashing and conflicting my emotions of sadness, anger, excitement and horror at the same time.

1st project called “HORROR at 3AM” http://horror3am.blogspot.com/ , soon it will be the greatest horror film ever shown in Malaysia. So horrifying that the producer or theater owners would have to warn all parents not to let their children to watch the film. I think Malaysia will show Korea and Japan how “The Ring”, "Ju-On" and “The Grudge” have only a second place in the Horror genre when “HORROR at 3AM” becomes the scariest horror film ever filmed not just in Asia but also in the western world. Even the experimental short film called "EVIL VIBES (Vol 2)" http://evilvibes.blogspot.com that created the idea in this new horror film had sent out a shock wave across Europe late last year particularly affecting western movie fans who have not seen Asian horror films before.

2^nd project called “The Bloodsisters” http://thebloodsister.blogspot.com evolved under the original story called “The Bloodihood Story” http://bloodihood.blogspot.com was my personal and childhood film project since day one. This time with the introduction of Harley Davidson biking culture into the film, it will make western “Too Fast Too Furious”, Malaysian’s “Impak Maksima” and “Mat Rempit” look like child movies. Never before we see two different all male & all female gangs riding harley bikes fighting each other. One gang fight for revenge and another fight for honor in the Bloodihood bond. Not to mention this upcoming film has a magic moment of romance between a Bloodbrother and a Bloodsister that turned into a tragic unforgivable ending. I believe this is the only film in my projects that will make the audience jump up from their seats.

3^rd project called “My One and Only Little Angel” http://onlylittleangel.blogspot.com will bring tears to every father and daughter in the world. A film not just about love in a family but the struggle to understand God’s love and the way fate had been placed before them. Why God gives us happiness in the beginning and then gives us sadness in the end? Why a little girl has to suffer for the sins and wrongs of her father? This will be a touching and emotional film since the success of “MUSIC BOX” http://musicbox-romance.blogspot.com a romance drama based on a true story about two lovers who were divorced ten years ago trailing from an unforgotten promise and a music box that binded their hearts even till today that was screened last year 2009 and won "Best Feature" in Cellesty Online International Film Festival 2010, USA. The sequel to this story called "MOON RIVER" http://moonriver-romance.blogspot.com is in the process of writing. It's about the life and turbulence of a man having his emotional clashes with his past memories of his ex-wife when he tried hard to love a new woman who never gives up on him but it was too late. Ironically, his past and his memories made him drown in the deep sea while searching for something coming from an undying promise to his ex-wife. This story will be another upcoming emotional film when the magic starts.

With all these projects in the pipeline, my executive producer and long time friend, Cassie Chung, has already chasing me to start a new one called "In Search Of Justice - A Lawyer's Dilemma" http://searchofjustice.blogspot.com , a legal drama that carries with it a new form of entertainment that I am not at liberty to elaborate or disclose. Time will come and you will know. In addition to this, a new approach to contrast the conventional James Bond movies is on the way. An upcoming project called "Jane Bond" which is a female version of James Bond has sent aspiring female models and new actresses screaming for the audition to take this role. This is definitely interesting enough to plan for the shoot not to mention to look for the right look for not a Bond girl but a female James Bond. A challenge for my casting team. Then there is this thriller called "The 4th Wife" which is a classic thriller tainted with Alfred Hitchcock twisted ending that is slotted next year 2011. In fact there are so many projects that are all lingering in my mind slotted for end of the year 2010 and next year 2011. Among them called "Jasmine's Sign" http://jasminesign.blogspot.com which is dedicated to someone very special and someone who showed me God's love; a Malaysian version of mafia story called "Godfather and Me" not to mention my all time favourite and possible competitor to my current 2010 horror project called "Werewolf Nightmare" http://werewolfnightmare.blogspot.com. Lastly, I am saving my one and only comedy film called "LU CHIAK SAI (You Eat Shit!)" in the end for a big laugh pointing at my Film and Production Analyst cum Actress, Jennifer Pang.

God! I am having the greatest job and greatest life in the entire universe!

So what some say I live in my own world now for I had been there and lived there and the difference is that they have not.

Ha Long Bay, Vietnam (Preview)

One of the most touching and heartfelt moments was when I saw a poor Vietnamese woman rolling her boat towards the Junk full of tourists asking them to buy stuff and things in her boat while her little baby was lying next to her. Some of the tourists teased her and called her "Sugarbabe" because she sells sweets and junk food. I find this rather disturbing and my heart sank that day. While the scenic view of Ha Long Bay was incredible, it never fail to remind me of the hardship of these Vietnamese women's lives living in their boats for survival at Ha Long Bay, Vietnam. So this little glimpse of my upcoming Documentary Film 2011 about "Halong Bay, Vietnam" is dedicated to them.

Angkor Wat, Cambodia (Preview)

One of the best scenes in this film is the adorable and incredible smart "english" speaking children of Cambodia, the magnificant views of all the temples in Angkor Thom and lastly and not the least, the mysterious Angkor Wat. Here' a glimpse of my upcoming Documentary Film 2011 with a hollywood cinematic background music dramatising the scenic view of Angkor Wat. I only wish I have more time to edit these film take.

James Bond Island, Thailand

The most memorable experience in exploring caves in James Bond Island was one incredible sparkling view coming from crystals formed in Diamond Cave. Watching this sparkling effect in the dark in this cave was like watching diamonds twinkling in the sky at night. It gave you a sense of calm and funny thing was it made you feel happy just by watching those crystals. The unique part of this adventure was that in Diamond Cave, there was only one particular spot where you can see thousands of crystals sparkling towards you when you pointed your touchlight at them. Not all tourists were able to find this spot.

To be able to find it means to the locals that you are a lucky person.

Khai Island, Thailand

Never thought that in this little island, there was one secluded spot surrounded by coral rocks with some empty spaces of crystal clear water filled with hundreds of colorful fishes. When the water at the beach was at knee level, most tourists would feed these colorful fishes. Having such close up moment with these fishes was an incredible experience.

Phi Phi Island, Thailand (Maya Bay)

The greatest moment when I was there in this Island was when I started walking along the bay and saw the beautiful background view of two islands facing each other from far. I thought I saw paradise but it was not what I saw that mattered, it was the walking experience in Maya Bay that brought me to paradise. This is one bay you have to go and experience it once in your life time. At least, Leonardo DeCaprio felt it during the filming of “The Beach” at Maya Bay years ago. Why not everybody? The inspiration I have from this experience led me to write a script called "Music Box" based on true events about how a guy who loves his ex-wife so much travelled to Maya Bay and buried her Valentime gift, a Music Box, just to remember her in his heart forever. Linking this Island to this story is the greatest phenomenon in my work.

The Similan Islands is a group of islands in the Andaman Sea off the coast of Phang Nga Province, southern Thailand. It is a national park which was established in 1982. Similan Islands National Park was established after a one-year exploration by the forestry department. The park is an archipelago consisting of nine islands named Ko Bon, Ko Bayu, Ko Similan, Ko Payu, Ko Miang (two adjoining islands), Ko Payan, Ko Payang, and Ko Huyong. Recently, the park was expanded to included two remote islands named Ko Bon and Ko Tachai. The Similans are situated 70 kilometres from Phang Nga town. "Similan" is a Yawi word which means "nine". Similan is one of the most famous diving sites in Thailand, and noted as one of the top ten dive destinations according to the National Geographic Society.

Khao Phing Kan or Ko Khao Phing Kan is a two-island pair located on the west coast of Thailand, in the Phang Nga Bay, Andaman Sea. About 40 metres (130 ft) from its shores lies a 20 meters (66 ft) tall islet Ko Tapu (เกาะตะปู, pronounced [kɔ̀ʔ tapuː]) or Khao Tapu (เขาตะปู [kʰǎw tapuː]). The island is a part of the Ao Phang Nga National Park. Since 1974, when it was featured in the James Bond movie The Man with the Golden Gun, it is popularly called James Bond Island.

This is the most beautiful island in the world. We called it "The Island of Paradise" as the best part of this Island is the Marine Park.

Usually you would find beautiful fishes when you swim deep into the ocean or when you swim far away from the beach. But this is not the case for the Marine Park in Redang Island. You could see and swim with several species of colorful fishes by just swiming near the beaches. I remember I was only about 10 feet from the shore when the water was only 6 feet deep, I was surrounded by these beautiful fishes. The experience was incredible and beautiful. You could actually see and watch these fishes swimming around and across you as if you were living in an alien world.

EVIL MESSAGE ...(A Rorne Tan Short Film 2008)

This was my second experimental short film filmed last year 2008 with only a single digital DV camera without any lighting or audio recording device. My niece, Celine Tan, helped me by becoming my actress with the assistance of her friend, Ogawa Tetsuo. Both done a pretty good job in terms of acting in this horror flick despite there was no script nor rehearsal but only my direction deriving from my personal instinct!

EVIL VIBES (Vol 1)...(A Rorne Tan Short Film 2008)

This was my first short film shot in day time last year. I was trying to create horror by shooting scenes in day time not following the conventional night shoots. Acted by Jennifer Pang, it was a memorable shoot that lasted only a day (in one hot afternoon) that made me ventured into a path of becoming a professional film maker.

This time the sound effects and special effects are much better not to mention a brilliant story line without any preparation, scripts nor rehearsals. All done in a sponstaneous filming out from a simple holiday trip to Perak caves in November 2009 with Jennifer Pang, Lydia Lee & Kent Ng. So have fun watching this short film.

HORROR at 3AM (Chapter 1)

This is also another spontaneous shoot. On that day, Ellisan and Alicia did their make up and dressed in their rugged leather wear ready to act for "The Bloodsisters" outdoor scene but unfortunately it rained quite heavily. So we decided to shoot "Horror at 3AM". That is why you could see Alicia & Ellisan heavy make-up in this film. Anyway, this non-planned shoot is always better than the planned ones. In this horror scene, Alicia did a good job portraying a lost and frightened mental patient who was haunted by an evil female ghost. Ellisan acted as the doctor in helping her. For Ellisan, she did a fine acting in creating horror when she walked and moved like the trade-mark Korean horror ghost with a long hair. So enjoy watching this short film.

HORROR at 3AM (Chapter 2)

Some of the scenes are actually not part of the planned shoot. The scenes on 1st Night is actually consists of free shooting videos of Jennifer Pang feeling bore while waiting for her next shoot. Her boring facial expression was ideal to project a mental patient having heard voices at 3 A.M. Another thing to note is that (it has been my childhood knowledge) if you put yourself upside down, you will definitely look like someone else and a ghost. So I had used the same trick here in this film and it worked pretty well in the dark. No one could guess that the upside down ghost on the bed was actually acted by the actress herself, Jennifer Pang. In conclusion, this is the finest of the horror films I had made so far. And already I have an idea of how Chapter 3 would be like. This time it will be more horrifying than both Chapter 1 and 2 put together. At the mean time, enjoy watching this short film.

The BLOODSISTERS (Scene 3...continued)

This is second part of Scene 3. It's the latest video with a lot of machine guns, shot guns and clicking sound effects. Acted by dedicated and well known cast including 2 first timers. They are Ellisan Tan, Alicia Tan, Angela Tan, Magdalene Yee and Mohd Zulkarnain.

After this scene, it will be a bigger shoot with better preparation for the upcoming scene 4 where it will involve several harley davidson bikes, female bikers, fighting sequence and lots more. Can't wait to get it all ready for the shoot.
